Lauri Nuuma is a UEFA Pro Licensed football coach and sporting director with extensive international experience across elite European football environments. Currently serving as Head Coach of Harju JK Laagri in the Estonian Premium Liiga, he has demonstrated strong leadership by guiding one of the league’s youngest squads to a competitive position while significantly increasing player market value and development outcomes.
With a career spanning coaching, scouting, and football management, Lauri has played a pivotal role in building sustainable football structures. As Sporting Director of Harju JK, he developed the club’s methodology, oversaw talent pathways, and contributed to multiple promotions into Estonia’s top division, while facilitating international player transfers to clubs such as SL Benfica, Venezia FC, and Domžale.
His international experience includes roles with FC Honka (Finland) as Assistant Coach, contributing to European competition qualification, and with HJK Helsinki as an international scout, identifying talent across Europe and South America. Earlier in his career, he gained valuable coaching experience in Portugal, working within competitive youth systems against top academies like SL Benfica and FC Porto.
Lauri holds a Master’s degree and postgraduate qualifications in High Performance Football Coaching from the University of Lisbon, complemented by UEFA Pro, A, and B licenses.
