Dr. Erden Or is a distinguished football executive, academic, and educator with more than two decades of leadership experience in football development, governance, and education. Throughout his career, he has played a pivotal role in shaping modern football structures in Turkey through his work with the Turkish Football Federation, where he served in several senior strategic positions including Technical Coordinator, Referee Academy Director, and Development Leagues Manager. Dr. Or has been at the forefront of implementing progressive football development programs, modernizing coach and referee education systems, and designing youth development frameworks aligned with international standards.
His leadership has contributed to the growth of women’s football, futsal, and beach soccer, as well as the establishment of national grassroots initiatives that expanded football participation and talent development. An active contributor to international football projects, Dr. Or also worked as a UEFA Women’s Football Expert, participating in strategic development initiatives aimed at strengthening women’s football structures across Europe. Alongside his executive career, Dr. Or is a respected lecturer and coach educator, delivering elite coaching and management courses including UEFA Pro, UEFA A, UEFA B, scouting, and match analysis programs. His work bridges the gap between academic research and practical football management, helping clubs, federations, and sports organizations implement modern, evidence-based approaches to football development.
He holds a PhD in Business Administration from Istanbul University and a Diploma in Football Management from the UEFA Academy, combining academic excellence with practical leadership in football governance.
