Mert Boztepe, MBA, is a FIFA licensed football agent and consultant based in Belgium, operating across the international transfer market with a focus on supporting clubs and players through strategic recruitment and deal-making processes. He entered the football business driven by a deep passion for the game, combining his early playing experience with a strong academic foundation in business and economics. He studied Business Economics at the Solvay Business School of Economics and holds an MBA from KU Leuven, shaping a structured and analytical approach to football operations.
Since 2019, Boztepe has been actively involved in the global transfer market, participating in and facilitating transactions across more than 40 leagues, including top-tier competitions such as the Premier League, Bundesliga, Süper Lig, Belgian Pro League, Liga Portugal, Ekstraklasa, Danish and Swedish first leagues amongst others. Working in direct contact with decision-makers from over 300 clubs annually, he has developed an extensive international network and a deep understanding of club recruitment strategies. In addition to his agency activities, he is a major shareholder in a football academy in Nigeria that has produced internationally recognised players, strengthening his connection to emerging talent pathways. He has also worked closely with UEFA as a consultant on fan security and the organisation of high-risk matches, and has been invited by international broadcasters of the Belgian Pro League to provide live match analysis and expert commentary.
