As of late 2025, he serves as the Vice President of Istanbul Basaksehir FK, following a highly successful tenure as the club’s CEO. He played a fundamental role in the club's rapid ascent from a fledgling project to a Turkish Super Lig champion and a consistent participant in European competitions. During this time, he oversaw strategic operations that defined the club as a modern blueprint for organisational success, focusing on world-class training facilities and a recruitment model built on technical scouting and financial efficiency.
His influence extends significantly into the governance of the game through extensive leadership within the Turkish Football Federation. Between 2023 and 2024, he served as a TFF Vice President and Executive Board Member responsible for FIFA and UEFA Relations. On the international stage, he has been a long-standing representative within UEFA, serving as a member of the Youth and Amateur Football Committee for nearly a decade before joining the UEFA Football Committee in 2024. He has also been a key contributor to the European Club Association’s (ECA) Youth Working Group, further solidifying his reputation as a bridge between Turkish football and European governing bodies.
Beyond his administrative roles, he has been a vocal advocate for the use of technology and advanced analytics in football. He has consistently championed the move toward a more analytical framework in Türkiye, bridging the gap between traditional scouting instincts and modern performance data.
